MYOFASCIAL RELEASE & SELF-MASSAGE

Sundays @ 430 pm ET

Myofascial release is the technique of applying gentle pressure on the connective tissue that holds our body together. With age, overuse, and inactivity, this tissue, called fascia, can become sticky and dehydrated, leading to stiffness and pain. We will use small exercise balls, foam rollers and yoga blocks to focus on common problem areas like the knees, hips, neck and shoulders – each week we will highlight one specific area. The practices will bring ease and balance in your body to help you stay active and healthy.

Students will need at least 2 small balls (yoga balls, or even tennis balls will do) and either a foam roller or a yoga block.
