BARA VAIDA, CERTIFIED YOGA TEACHER
Hi, I’m Bara Vaida. I am a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher offering movement and meditation classes that focus on alignment, strength, and the healing aspects of yoga. I also have advanced training in Yoga Therapeutics. My group classes are appropriate for all levels, especially beginners and those over forty.
Through hundreds of hours of specialized yoga teacher training and the study of anatomy and fascia, I have developed a deep understanding of the key elements of neuro-skeletal-muscular well-being, and I use this evidence-based training to help students build resilience through functional movement.
In my classes, students can expect a supportive practice, with clear verbal cues and demonstration. My teaching incorporates flow yoga poses, functional movement, and self-massage tools. Every class is aimed at helping students feel better in their body for at least a few moments, and to building the strength, balance, and mental clarity to live a healthy life off the mat.
I received my 500-hour training at Tranquil Space and Past Tense studios in Washington DC. I am certified in teaching seniors through the Duke Integrative Medicine/Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and in Myofascial Release through Yoga Medicine. In addition to teaching yoga, I am a freelance journalist and writer covering health policy, public health, and infectious disease.
