With gratitude, a free Thanksgiving yoga class for you

In gratitude for you being part of my yoga community, I am hosting a free 45-minute yoga class this coming Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 24 at 9:30 AM ET.

I hope with this online class to leave you feeling both energized and grounded for whatever is planned for your holiday and weekend. I also hope to reconnect with many of you who I haven’t seen in a while.

This class will be all-levels and will include practicing sun salutations. Anyone is welcome to join, so please feel free to share the registration link with friends and family who you think might enjoy joining a yoga class with you.

For those of you who have been practicing with me for a while and would prefer not to get up and down from the floor, here’s a link to a free recording of my 50 plus gentle yoga class from a few weeks back where we link movement and breath and practice sun salutations using the chair.

On a separate note, it’s been a little while since I last sent out a Yoga with Bara email. I’ve been busy wearing my health journalist hat and working on stories about the latest scientific research on pain. As a reader of my email, you’ll be benefiting from some of what I learned in future emails on this very complex topic.

In the meantime, check out this interesting website: PainScience.com, written by Paul Ingraham, a science journalist who casts a skeptical eye on almost all pain treatment research. Paul’s take is that the best things we can do to prevent and address pain include: manage our stress levels, get the right amount of sleep, keep moving (like walking) and constantly work on strengthening our muscles.

So please join me for some yoga to keep yourself moving, destress and strengthen your muscles!
