I love these sentences from “The Writing Life” by writer Annie Dillard:
“How we spend our days, is of course, how we spend our lives. What we do with this hour, and that one, is what we are doing.”
She so simply sums up how much our daily habits shape our lives.
I’ve tried as best I can to have gratitude about something every day. It definitely isn’t easy with all that is happening in the world. But there is science behind a focus on gratitude and how it can help with mental clarity and balance.
So this week, I’m inviting students to find one thing to have gratitude about. I’ve also recorded a 30-minute flow yoga class focused on the core muscles, balance and gratitude.
If you haven’t had time to get to the habit of a practice, but have been wanting to do so, here’s your moment to roll out your mat, and move.
This class is also an example of what I generally teach on Wednesday mornings. It is for students with some experience in practicing yoga and I offer modifications so that you can make the practice work for your body.
