Yoga for Strength & Balance

Hi, I'm Bara Vaida, a Washington DC-based certified yoga teacher offering online classes, workshops, and private client sessions. I began practicing yoga 25 years ago as part of my fitness routine and then fell in love with the ways the practice helps me care for my spirit too.

I offer a welcoming, supportive practice for all levels to connect with their breath, body, and mind. I enjoy teaching sequences that help yogis build strength and self-confidence. I am a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher and received my 500-hour Teacher Training at Tranquil Space and Past Tense studios in Washington DC. My mission is to empower students to find their own path to health and well-being.

I teach all-levels yoga classes, guided meditation sessions, workshops, and classes for select private clients in the Washington, DC area and virtually. Let's practice together.

ONLINE SLOW FLOW YOGA FOR STRESS RELIEF

All-levels slow flow yoga and meditation via Zoom. A gentle flow that links poses and breath work for a practice that will ground you in the present. 60 minutes.

ONLINE MORNING YOGA (45 MIN)

Start your day with this uplifting practice that will balance and focus your energy for a productive day ahead.

ONLINE YOGA FOR 50+

A gentle yoga class tailored for older adults who prefer a slower-paced practice. I tailor the poses to accommodate the needs of different bodies. All levels are welcome. Free!

YOGA FOR FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT

This all-levels yoga class is all about building and maintaining stability and ease in your body. We’ll explore functional movements like reaching, lunging and squatting as well as postures from traditional yoga flow, such as warrior poses and sun salutations. We will end class with a brief meditation to complete the connection between mind and body.

SLOW FLOW AND MEDITATION AT PAST TENSE STUDIO ONLINE

This 60-minute class includes 45 minutes of movement, and 15 minutes of meditation to leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

YOGA FOR LONGEVITY WORKSHOP

As we age, the connective tissues that holds our body together, called fascia, can become sticky and dehydrated, causing stiffness and pain. This workshop will focus on simple techniques you can use at home to rehydrate your tissues and create ease in your body.
